The books in this library are written in three main voices: the I Voice, You Voice, and We Voice. Each voice expresses the same finished work of Christ from a different speaking position. The truth remains the same, but each voice helps the reader receive, confess, teach, and express that truth in a different way.
The I Voice — Personal Agreement
The I Voice is the reader’s personal confession and agreement with what Christ has already finished.
It allows the reader to speak the truth of Christ in the first person:
“I am created new in Christ. Christ lives within me now. I am holy, righteous, pure, and accepted because Christ is holy, righteous, pure, and accepted within me.”
The I Voice does not teach the reader to work toward becoming accepted by God. It teaches the reader to speak from the acceptance, righteousness, holiness, and new life that Christ has already given.
The I Voice helps the reader personally agree with their identity in Christ and live from His finished work.
The You Voice — The Spirit’s Reminder and the Teaching Voice
The You Voice serves two purposes.
First, it is the voice of the Spirit within the reader, reminding them who they already are in Christ.
Through the You Voice, the reader hears the Spirit’s reminder:
“You are created new in Christ. Christ lives within you now. You are holy, righteous, pure, and accepted because of who Christ is within you.”
The Spirit does not remind the reader of a distant identity they must someday obtain. He reminds them of the present reality Christ has already established.
Second, the You Voice is the teaching voice. It can be used to teach one person or a small class who they are in Christ.
A teacher may say:
“You are not working to become righteous. Christ is your righteousness now. You are not trying to earn acceptance. You are already accepted because of His finished work.”
The You Voice speaks truth directly to the reader or listener. It reminds, teaches, strengthens, and establishes them in their present identity and union with Christ.
The We Voice — The Voice of the Whole Body of Christ
The We Voice is the corporate voice of the whole Body of Christ.
The Church is not a building made with hands, an institution, an organization, or a denomination. The Church is every person in whom Christ now dwells—those who have received Him, believed on His name, and have been created new in Him.
The We Voice says:
“We are the Body of Christ because Christ lives within us. We are His Church, His dwelling place, and His people.”
We are holy because Christ is holy within us. We are righteous because Christ is our righteousness. We are pure because His pure life dwells within us.
These are not qualities we are working to obtain. Christ has already completed the work. Therefore, we rest in His finished work and cease from trying to make ourselves acceptable to God through our own effort.
The We Voice declares:
“We are holy, righteous, pure, and accepted in Christ. We do not work to earn what He has already given. We live, serve, love, and obey from His finished work.”
The We Voice allows the whole Body of Christ to speak together as one people, sharing one Spirit, one life, one Lord, and one finished work.
One Truth Expressed Through Three Voices
The three voices express the same truth from three perspectives:
The I Voice: “I am who Christ has made me.”
The You Voice: “You are who Christ has made you.”
The We Voice: “We are who Christ has made us.”
Together, these voices help the reader personally confess the truth, hear the Spirit’s inward reminder, teach others who they are, and speak together as the whole Body of Christ.
